why do i get popup after installing new version OS?

this weekend I upgraded my Android OS on my Galaxy Tab 4, but now some of my apps (Play Service among others) don't work, and I constantly get popups with the message "Google Play-services stopped" or "com.google.process.gapps stopped".
I tried emptying the cache, deactivating some apps... nothing seems to work.

Help?

Have you checked that said apps are compatible with the new OS version? Have you tried uninstalling the ailing app/re-installing it?

Also, it might not be the best thing to look forward to, but usually after an OS upgrade, it's a really good idea to do a factory reset of your device. This means that you have to back up your data and you'll have to re-install everything and set things back to how you like them, but it's worth it. It clears up a lot of common issues.

I am having the same problem on my HTC one Mini 2. Everything worked without a problem on my phone until I installed the latest Android upgrade three days ago. Now I get google play services has stopped, app.google.process.gapps has stopped, and another as soon as I swipe the screen after switching the phone on.

I have rebooted and cleared the cache to no avail. It is at its worst first thing in the morning or when it is turned on when it can take ten minutes of clicking OK on multiple boxes only for them all to keep reappearing along with, Do you want to report messages. I have clicked over 100 of these boxes in the last two minutes and I still cant do anything, this is extremely frustrating!! Well I have completed several reports and nothing is happening.

Please can you help?
