Why do I have low volume on my Xperia Z3?

Low volume on Xperia Z3

Since the latest Android update (5.0.2), the volume output on my Xperia Z3 has decreased substantially. Prior to the update, I enjoyed TV programmes in the shower and could easily hear the output without maxing the volume. Since the update, I can barely hear the output even when the volume is maxed out.

Welcome to the forums. The new ROM may have changed the volume levels, or is there perhaps a volume limit? Do you get a pop up window with a disclaimer about excessive volume and hearing?

I seem to have the same problem. I just got my Z3 a week or so ago but I noticed the volume is very low. I turned on dynamic normaliser and that seems to have made the music a little louder, but still not as loud as my old iPhone 4. I have it all the way up and it's still not quite loud enough for me.
