Why do I have multiple disconnects per hour?

My new Moto360v2 is vibrating multiple times an hour to tell me that is is disconnected from my GalaxyS6. This would explain why I am missing some call and SMS notifications.

My GalaxyS6 is in my pocket and my Moto360v2 is on my wrist. My GalaxyS6 is paired with two other bluetooth devices (car and headphones) but they are not powered on.

Why are my Moto360v2 and my GalaxyS6 having such a difficult time staying connected?

Is your moto360 a "secure" connection on your phone? After you link up with Bluetooth, the S6 will say something like "do you want this device to be a trusted device?" Make sure you click yes.

Yes, it has been a trusted device all along.
