Why do I have such poor charging time?

Poor charging

Battery life poor, charging time excessive and red cross on battery indicator. I was told that it was a software problem and needed to look for updates, but doesn't my tablet update automatically? I have not found any updates to install.

That's why won't buy no-name, rebranded Chinese tablets or smartphones (OnePlus, Xiaomi, ASUS ZenFone are exceptions)
