Very little ram on Huawei phone Ascend G6

Hi there

I have the above phone and it has become really sluggish when trying to message anyone on viber or app games (like wwf). I restored it back to factory settings three weeks ago and now it has gone back to being sluggish and sticking again.

I am not very good with technology. I am 46 years old and tend to ask my teenagers if I have any problems. On this occasion they are useless and just said you are running out of ram. I have very little apps on my phone - have deleted Youtube etc. I have two email accounts as apps should I delete one - would that help.

I just want it to work and as I am pretty clueless am desperate. Can you explain in basic terms how to get it all running smoothly again with no sluggish and sticking when trying to message on viber and wwf. I was 29 when I fist went on line so simple advice appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! First things first--do you have any "memory booster/cleaner" apps installed? If so, uninstall them now. Those apps are generally useless, and often counterproductive, because they try to close apps out of RAM on a regular basis. This is not how Android is designed to work--the system wants RAM to be mostly full (around 70-80%), and if RAM becomes empty, the system will reopen apps. If the booster app is constantly closing apps and the system is reopening them, that bogs things down and uses up battery.
