Why do I lose my contact pictures?

why do I lose my contact pictures

On my Galaxy S4 - I have multiple times, assigned specific photos to individuals in my contacts and it will stay for a day or so, but then the contact goes back to a silhouette. What am I doing wrong. I hit contact, then edit, then image and select and crop my specific photo then hit save. Am I missing something

Welcome to the forums!

The thing I have done differently than you, is I add the pics to my gmail contact on the web, instead of on my phone. Have you got everything on your phone with your gmail account (I'm assuming you use gmail for your contacts) set to sync?
