Why do my apps fail to load and screen go black?

[Android Central Question]

My Galaxy Tab S model T-800 will turn on, show date and time, the small drop down menu, and will say I am connected to the wifi. It starts to load apps then stops, screen goes black..but still on, showing date time etc...will let me turn on and of functions shown on drop down quick menu, but nothing shows on the screen.
