Why do my clear covers for Galaxy S6 Edge develop green coloring, like oxidation, at the top end?

AC Question

I have been using two new clear covers, from different brands, for my Galaxy S6 Edge. After a few weeks both have started developing a greenish discoloration at the end of the plastic cover located at the top of the phone. Looks like the kind of oxidation that forms on copper. While this coloring develops on the plastic, the phone itself does not get this discoloring. I wonder if there is some kind of electrical potential present that leads to this, or if the material of the phone at the top end is somehow different from the rest of the phone?

Maybe, its just like TPU cases. Its color changes slowly under sunlight to yellowish color.

Yup that's true. And that's probably it. They start turning yellow with sunlight and moisture.
