Why do my downloaded videos and images kept disappearing?

So basically I download youtube videos using samsung internet browser and I've downloaded like 20 videos from youtube and 2 songs from yt too but i converted it to mp3 but when I woke up 23 of my videos was lost. In the download folder it has 21 videos and 300+ pics but when i woke up it has 18 pics and 1 video left which i downloaded from fb and i got 113 videos in other folder which i downloaded from yt too but it only has 109 videos left. Did my phone have a virus? Help me please!

Welcome to Android Central! How are you downloading videos? Are you using YouTube Premium, or some other method? If it's anything besides YouTube Premium, that violates YouTube's terms of service.

Some phones have a built-in "cleaner" feature that might be set to automatically clear out the Downloads folder, so check for that. 3rd party "memory booster" or "device optimization" apps might also do this.
