Why my notificatios last only 10 minutes on Moto x 2014 in Active Display

The Active Display "pulse" alert notification times out after 10 minutes. Please help. Thx

My wife and I have 2013 Moto X's and I asked the same question. As far as I can tell, this is a function of the Lollipop update. My notifications with Lollipop stop pulsing after 10 minutes. My wife still has Kit Kat on hers and her notifications continue indefinitely. I hate it. Active Display was great the way it was. If the reason they changed it was concerns about battery life, give me the option to set how long they display.
