Why do my system files take up half of my space??

[Android Central Question]

I have a Moto G Play with 32GB. The android 21 files take up 17gb, and all the unnecessary apps that come with the phone leave me with a little under 5GB of free space to use. I'm a huge gamer, and I'd have to delete or redownload apps I like. I can literally only have 3 games on my phone. I disabled some of the apps that come with the phone, but it didn't do much. What do I do?

32gb is not lot of storage these days so u have to conserve and use other sources like cloud service, can post a screenshot of your storage?
