Why do nighttime pics always turn out pixelated?

When trying to take nighttime shots of fireworks, moon shots, etc always turn out pixelated? Is there a way to turn off the low light feature, if that is what's causing it?

Welcome to the forums. What phone do you have? Have you already tried the different modes on your camera app?
