I have a droid turbo original phone and some apps no matter what I do I kill them with other apps I force stop them nothing works soon after I discover they are running again continuously not all apps do this but a handful do it's getting really annoying.I've even been in the developers menu trying to find the right settings to keep them turned off till I want to use them. Please help anyone know how I can keep them shutoff or is it a waste of time trying?

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Android Apps forum to the General Help forum for more specific traffic.

Some system apps or preinstalled apps are designed to open on their own for various reasons -- perhaps they're essential to the system, or perhaps that's just how the phone manufacturer coded it because the app developer paid them money to have the app active. What apps are you referring to?

Android is designed to keep memory filled. If you arbitrarily kill apps, the OS will always initiate either those apps or different ones to fill it again. They stay dormant in the background, not using any processing power, but are able to be immediately called up when needed. This helps improve battery life and speeds up multitasking. It's best to not kill off apps arbitrarily, unless you have a specific problem with a rogue app.
