Text message keeps repeating itself after sending

I send a text and then in the message area it automatically retypes the message I just sent. What's going on?

My phone started the same thing 2 days ago.
The text message is sent and then immediately a repeat of the first text is displayed in the text box. It does not resend, it simply repeats what I have typed. I have to then delete that message before I can send another one.

Same here. Seems to only happen when I dictate the message. Was the SMS app recently updated? I don't know how to find this out.

This started happening to me too in the last few days. It's on sent messages only and happens only when using voice recognition. It will repeat partial messages in the original message sometimes when I hit send or automatically fill it into a new text message.
I also noticed that the voice recognition doesn't work nearly as well since I "upgraded" to Lollipop.
