Whenever I try to access my widgets by holding down the page dots (on an LG Aristo 2) my phone screen shuts off and I cannot access my widgets because of this. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean by accessing your widgets -- are you trying to see your widgets list to look for a widget to add to the homescreen? To do that, you should long-press an empty part of the homescreen, then tap Widgets, and you'll see your widgets list. What do you mean by "page dots"?
