Why does it take 45 seconds for AA to turn on once I plug in my phone?

Anyone else have a huge delay between the time they plug in their phone and when AA kicks in? I've resorted to timing it, and it's almost always between 40-45 secs. That's ridiculous IMO.

I have the latest firmware for my unit (4100NEX) and the latest AA on my phone. I've also tried two different cables.

Thoughts? THX.

re:

When I first saw the title I thought you meant another AA. ;) Anyways, I would imagine this is a bluetooth delay and/or related to the fact that this is a new technology and still improving. I don't believe it's you. I think you'll just need to wait for software updates to improve the delay. Perhaps take the time to perform other pre-driving checks such as your gauges and mirrors etc?

Do you plug your phone in before starting your vehicle? Or start it, wait for the 4100 to boot, and then plug it in?

Also... what phone?

LG G3

I think I've tried plugging it in at different times, but it's usually after the head unit at least has power and is booting. I know it happens AFTER everything is booted. I'll try plugging in BEFORE starting every thing up.

Also, I dont think this happened before I updated the Pioneer 4100's firmware to current, though I had only had it a few days at that point >:(

I don't see this issue, but I have vanilla Android on a Nexus.

IIRC, there were issues initially with the G3 and AA. Not sure who fixed what to get it working, but it may be something you'll have to live with as long as you have the G3.

Might want to check in with the G3 forum to see if you're not alone.

re:

I've seen enough reports in forums, including my own experience with my old LG G4 to feel like LG phones are it's horrible with Android Auto. I had a terrible experience and stopped using it because I can't get any sort of acceptable user experience.
