Why does my Android tablet lock whenever I insert/remove the charger OR the SD card?

I've absolutely no idea what's causing this. Tablet is an Archos Gamepad II - purchased on the 24th December 2014.
This wasn't happening for the first week or so of having the tablet and a full factory reset didn't fix it either.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Edit: by lock I don't mean leaving the tablet and it locks, it INSTANTLY locks as soon as I do what is outlined in the title.

I see no option for this or any reason why there ever would be an option for this.

EDIT: Ah, you misunderstood - I mean it instantly locks when I do what's described in the title. Not like leave-for-5-minutes-lock.
