why does my battery indicator saying that i'm charging when i'm not?

I have Galaxy NOTE 3 and currently the battery indicator saying that i'm charging eventhough i don't but the battery do discharge all the power. and it's always blinking every 5 seconds when i lock the screen. Please help me. i have change the battery but same results. And it was super hot when i touch it

Whatever it is it sounds bad and possibly dangerous. Consult a repairer.

If its super hot something isnt right.
Sounds like liquid damge maybe.
@belodion is right, unit needs to be taken apart as it sounds hardware related and not software.

The charge indicator on when not charging is usually a shorted microUSB port (dirt can get in there and short the contacts). But the light constantly flashing does sound bad. Have it checked out by a shop. Take the battery out and don't use the phone until you do.
