Why does my battery say it's Discharging?

I've found this to be a feature of the Battery Saver app. It wants to have the battery almost completely drained before charging to full. Turning off Battery Saver in settings should allow it to charge whenever it is plugged in.

Alternatively, you should be able to turn off your device but still be able to charge the device. Hope this helps!

My battery is saying it is discharging when it is plug in

It might be a charger,cable mix issue. Is it when your using + charging it? That is what I thought with mine,so now try not to use when charging!

So no matter where I plug in my Tablet, the battery Icon has an "X" on it and the pull down menu says discharging since......

I rebooted it and still the same issue. I have no idea how to trouble shoot this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Happened to me too, to fix I just used the original Samsung charger and plugged it straight into the wall without no extention cords as that would just lose power over any amount of length. I also soft reset the device to turn all the background apps off. Hope this helped

Problem resolved. Its the cable issue.
