Why does my Bluetooth headset disconnect when I have Wi-Fi on?

Android 7.0
Insignia ahbsport2

Have done factory reset
Cleared Bluetooth cache.
Reset and unpaired both devices
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work fine when only one is on, as soon as both are turned on Bluetooth device keeps disconnecting and reconnecting at random intervals. Sometimes 1 minute, but mostly within 15 seconds

Welcome to Android Central! 2.4 GHz wi-fi can sometimes interfere with Bluetooth (which also uses 2.4 GHz). If you have access to 5 GHz, try using that. Otherwise, see if changing the wi-fi channel in your router's settings helps.
