Why does my crash when I open snapchat while spotify is playing?

I have a song playing on Spotify, then I go to open Snapchat. This causes the screen to freeze for a few seconds, then the phone restarts. Sometimes this is accompanied by s droning beeping noise. What is causing this?

What have you done to troubleshoot this?

Does this happen immediately when opening Snapchat while Spotify is playing?

Is this behavior consistently occurring?

I've had the same issue with my Pixel 2 that was purchased in November 2017. I've tried uninstalling both apps and reinstalling and it still happens. I've had the issue for about 2-3 weeks now.

I've been having the same problem with the pixel 2 I also got in Nov. 2017. If I open Snapchat while Spotify is playing music the phone freezes then shuts down and if I play Spotify while Snapchat is open a long alarm sound happens while the screen is frozen then it restarts.

I don't use Snapchat so I installed it and signed up and opened it. It's working without issues

This is related to Snapchat as this happens to me when I open Snapchat with some apps that are actively using the camera or speakers

Settings --> apps & notifications --> snapchat/Spotify --> storage --> clear cache
Do this for both and you should be good
