Why does my Galaxy Centura keep freezing up?

my galaxy centura keeps freeze up

everytime i turn my phone on when it get to the main screen it will freeze up til u turn the phone off how can i fix this my self

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. The steps for the Centura are probably the same as for the S4: Restart the Device in Safe Mode Samsung Galaxy S 4 | Verizon Wireless

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

My kindle app freezes up every time that I try to use it. I have undownloaded it and reinstalled it numerous times.
Help !! Safe mode is not available on my phone.
