Why does my Galaxy S4 keep restarting?

Galaxy S4 Keeps Restarting

Hello all.

My Galaxy S4 has been restarting continuously for the past hour. It has about 75% battery right now and when I plug in the phone to a source of power, it freezes on the loading screen for the battery. I have taken out the battery and let it sit for a bit. Then it turned back on for less than 5 minutes to which point the "Power Off, Restart, Airplane Mode" prompt appeared then the phone shut off.

When the phone is not plugged into a power source, it loads the "Samsung Galaxy S4" screen, then goes black and reloads that over and over again.

Is this phone a lost cause?

Welcome to the forums. It might be a stuck power button. If you can, I would take it into your local carrier store for them to look at.

The button itself feel as though it is not stuck. When its pressed, it still feels the same.

There is no water damage.

Do you have an SD card in? Maybe try booting with it out?
