galaxy s4---------------keeps turning screen back on wasting battery for NO reason

not mini.......................Never got wet.................husbands s3 does not turn on by itself..All settings same...HELP.???

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a case? If the case has a magnet (which is common in flipcover cases, to activate the smartcover sensor in the phone), then small movements of the case might trigger the screen to turn on .

If you don't have a case, then it could be a 3rd party app you installed. You can check by booting into Safe Mode to see if it persists: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5744. Steps are at the bottom of the article.
