why does my LG G5's sound not work?

I recently dropped my lg g5 in the toilet, so I dismantled it and cleaned it all and got everything to work fine, but when I changed the volume suddenly sound stops working all together maybe if I reboot it it works again but as soon as I change the volume it stops working.

any ideas? thanks

Could be a bad earphone jack, a bad speaker, a bad connection on the motherboard ... it has to go into a repair shop for a diagnosis.

Considering that it's a G5, and you can get them for about $150-$180 refurbished (and probably less for a nicely used one), it may or may not pay to repair it.
