Why does my location icon keep flashing on my Samsung galaxy 7 after I've turned it off.

If you see this occasionally, it is most likely a system app or an app such as Google Assistant that you've granted location permission and has deep enough system priviledges that it can turn on location momentarily to perform it's function. You can see which apps have the location permissions by going to Settings > Apps > App Permissions > Location. Turn off the permissions as desired, but be aware that some apps won't function if all requested permissions aren't granted. With most, it's likely for a good reason; others... not so much..
