Why does my lock screen glitch after a phone restart?

Once my phone has either died or been restarted, my lock screen appear minimised in the middle of my screen with a default wallpaper. My screen becomes unresponsive and does not let me access anything or view any notifications. It has happened a couple times before and usually fixes itself after a couple of minutes but this time it has lasted 2 days. I've tried restarting (apparently there isn't an update available when trying to factory reset) and I've tried removing the SIM and putting it back again.

Try wiping the cache partition: HUAWEI P9 - Recovery Mode - HardReset.info

Also try not letting the battery die - that can kill a new battery in a month. Never let the battery get below 40% before recharging it (even if that means turning the phone off). See The Care and Feeding of Lithium Polymer Batteries.
