Why does my network appear as '@@@@@@@@@@@@@@'?

Hello,

I'm not sure whether this is the right place but I thought I'd see whether you can help me out.

I got my Moto G yesterday and for some reason today my network name appears as '@@@@@@@@@@@@' as opposed to EE/Orange (I'm in the UK, FYI). Any ideas why this might be happening? It means I can't see my notifications at the top of the screen. I've attached a photo to show you what I mean!
