Why does my 'new' phone have a history of searches in the Google Maps app?

Recieved my S3 mini from Vodafone today.

Tinkering with the apps and find there are a dozen searches in the history of the Google Maps app!

Is it possible Vodafone have sent me a used phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Are they searches you did elsewhere on Google Maps? Or could they be searches that someone else did on a computer where you were logged into your Google account? Your search history gets synced across devices, so it may not be from a previous owner.

I'd certainly been to at least half the places or nearby. Suspect the others are the wife's.
