Why does my nexus 5 show no signs of life.

hi, My nexus 5 fell two floors. I can't see any damage except that the camera lens is broken. The screen is intact. However, my phone isn't turning on, blinking or showing any signs of life.
When I connect it through USB, it's not being detected by the PC.
I can't get a replacement as I didn't buy the phone through play store but Amazon.
Any views as to what's wrong with my phone?

Welcome to the forums. There is probably internal damage done to the phone. You can try plugging it in for a couple hours to see if maybe that can get it back, but I doubt it.

My best guesstimate is that either the motherboard cracked or one of the connections to the battery contacts came loose. You couldn't get a replacement even if you bought it from the Play Store - physical damage caused by the owner isn't covered by warranty. (And once they open it, the damage will be plainly visible.)

Bring it to a good repair shop and gey an estimate. The repair will probably be cheaper than replacement, but a dead phone is a good excuse to buy a newer one - your choice.
