Why does my Nexus 5 take forever to charge?

Nexus 5 takes forever to charge!

I have a nexus 5.. recently updated and now it is taking over a day to charge it and my battery saver functio n does not work (I turn it on and it just switches right back off)

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the original cable and wall plug? If you're plugged into a wall outlet and go to Settings>Battery​, does it say you're charging on AC or USB? If it says USB, then the plug or cable might be faulty.

Same here! After the update, takes almost 6 hours for full charge and the battery drains in less than 5 hours! My phone is less than a year old and i charge with the original brick and cable from a wall point.
