I flashed the aoscmod ROM so I have Gingerbread on my phone

Now, every time i choose to shut it down, it would automatically reboot itself.
How can I fix this?

do you have the charger plugged in? the phone will turn on when the charger is plugged in while its in an off state.

mine does, every time. without fail. if i want it off i have to unplug it.

on 2.2 it used to just show a battery charging icon and not boot into android, but now it boots every time.

i didnt know if it was just my phone or not but i mean thats whats causing it for me, so look into it.

Yeah can't wait til that's fixed charging it while off gave me better battery performance

The issue actually lies in the recovery image you flashed and not the rom it self.

All the clockwork recoveries suffer this problem on the V from what i have personally seen.

YMMV --

If you want you can just use the Xionia CMWA 12518.4 Virgin recovery image with it if you want. This one works fine powered off and plugged in and does not reboot.
