Why does my phone go to my voice mail when i call my husbands phone number

I can't call his phone number bc it goes straight to my phones voice mail

Either:
- Your phone number is in his block/reject list
- His phone has no cell signal at his location
- His phone is turned off or is in airplane mode (radios turned off)
- He does not answer the call before it times out (3-4 rings) and goes to VM.
