Why does my phone keep making a weird noise?

[Android Central Question]

I got my phone (Samsung A52) two weeks ago and after roughly 3 days, a continuous whirring/clicking noise started coming from my speaker. I restarted my phone and it went away but it keeps coming back, daily now.

If it is only 2 weeks old it may be worth returning for a replacement phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain it's from the speaker, or could it be from the camera? A faulty autofocus mechanism can cause those sorts of sounds.

The A52 has stereo speakers -- are you hearing the sound from the earpiece speaker or the speaker at the bottom of the phone?

Not the camera, it's definitely coming from the speaker. It's the speaker at the bottom of the phone.

Yes, I have tried that but it still didn't help. I noticed that it happens mainly after I play a game (genshin impact) and close it, but sometimes it happens randomly as well

So in safe mode it still happening? Because that turns off all 3rd party apps and you mentioned usual after playing a game shortly after it happened.

Did you install the game from the Play Store, or from some other source? If it wasn't from the Play Store, there's more chance the game isn't entirely compatible with the phone (as well as more chance of malware).

I tried putting it in safe mode again yesterday and it didn't make the sound the entire day. So what do I do then?

I installed the game from the play store yes.

Make sure to send feedback to the developer about this.

My guess is it has something to do with Genshin Impact. Do you play any other games a lot? If so, do you use the Game Tools frequently? I wonder if that might also be involved.

I use the game launcher that came with the phone when I play them.

Ok, see what happens if you don't use Game Launcher.
