Why does my phone say charger not recognized charging deactivated?

[AC Question]

phone says charger not recognized charging deactivated

I tried many different chargers. Finally got it to charge very slowly by taking out the sim then charging. Is there a fix? I don't wanna have to remove my sim every time I want to charge my phone. Galaxy S5. About 8 months old.

Have you tried a different USB lead? Also, have you checked that the USB port is clean and undamaged?
