Why does my phone say its not charging when it is

When I put my phone on the charger I don't see the little lightning bolt on the battery but my battery percentage keeps climbing. What do I do?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Is the phone otherwise behaving abnormally? If that's the only issue, I'd just leave it alone.
