Why does my phone says Invalid Sim?

I am traveling and I bought a new simcard. The phone is unlocked but still it doesn't work. Is there something I can do to fix it? I have an LG H735AR

The card itself is probably bad. If it were a SIM-lock problem, it would be asking you for the unlock code.

Take the SIM out (with the power off, of course), wipe the contact area on the card lightly with a tissue, then insert the SIM again. If that doesn't work, the SIM probably has to be replaced.
