Why does my ringtone stop ringing in Marshmallow?

My Moto G (second generation) phone is a disaster ever since Marshmallow was installed. The ringtone stops working every day. So I turn off the phone, restart it, and the ringtone works until sometime at night when it stops. It still vibrates, but the ringtone won't play. Even when I select a ringtone in Settings, it won't play.

Someone suggested I wipe the partition cache. But I can't. It won't even go into Recovery mode. I get to the menu with Recovery mode, but when I select it by pressing the power button, it restarts in normal mode.

Someone please help me! This is driving me nuts. Can I reinstall Lollipop?

Here is a guide for downgrading your phone back to Lollipop (5.0.2). It kind of sounds like your problem has something to do with the do not disturb schedule being funky. May want to check that before you downgrade. Best of luck!

Thanks, Dirty Dan. I wasn't even aware of the Do Not Disturb feature, but it seems to be turned off anyway. So that's probably not the problem. I've bookmarked the link for reinstalling Lollipop. If I can't figure things out in the next few days, maybe I'll give that a try. Thanks again.
