S6 edge only works when charging

I've noticed that there have been many posts related to my question, none really that have been for the S6.

My S6 has been working fine now (after getting it replaced THREE TIMES after a few manufacturing issues) for about 4 months, and somehow after coming back from the gym, it had stopped working. It didn't turn on, so my initial thought was that it had died or something like that. So I went home to charge it and it said that it had initially had 24% then immediately jumped up to 97% percent. I thought, "well ok, it must be fine then", so I unplugged it and my screen immediately went black. Tried turning it on, and the same thing happened, it was at 97% and it was working fine (sorta, would restart itself every once and a while whilst I'm doing something} when plugged in, but when it isn't plugged in it just shuts off. Most of the posts I see that are similar to mine suggest that I take out the battery and replace it with a new one. Well, ok... So I walked over to my phone then realized that the back doesn't want to come off. I have successfully broken many phones trying to take off the back portion of the phone, so I do not trust me even trying. I don't want to take it to a professional to do it because I really don't feel like paying $175 for labor fees just for a battery replacement. If changing the battery is the one and only fix to this problem, I guess I'm either stuck with...

1) Trying to replace the battery myself for free minus the battery cost
2) Get it replaced with a refurbished phone (since that's the only way they can replace your phone apparently)
3) Hopelessly waiting for it to solve the problem on it's own
4) Hoping that one of you guys come up with an easier solution to this problem that seems to happen a lot to galaxy users.

Try wiping system cache while plugged in: https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-clear-the-cache-on-the-galaxy-s6

i had this issue and clearing cache was the fix! (not a bandaid or a short term solution, it completely fixed it.)
:D:D thanks a lot
