Why does my Samsung Galaxy S4 only charge when its plugged into the computer?

Do you intend to do a Backup and Reset, as suggested by arunverma? Or are there still things about that that make you hesitate?
I don't know whether it would fix the problem, but I don't see that there's much else you can try.
