Why does my Samsung galaxy S5 restart and won't let me in?

My Samsung galaxy S5 restarts constantly and when it finishes restarting and tells me to put the password in, it will restart again. It won't even let me into my phone. I end up having to take the battery out or else it continues to do it without stopping. My phone is only 7 months old! I've left the battery out for hours hoping that would reset it but it doesn't! Help!!

i did that and it doesn't seem to have helped my problem at all. It still shuts down and restarts.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you get the phone brand new? The S5 was released in 2014, so it seems doubtful that the phone itself is only 7 months old. Was it a used or refurbished device?
