Why does my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge say its charging when its not? Did I over charge it?

I was on the computer and my phone was charging on my wireless charging dock. I went to call my friend so I picked up my phone and the red light that says its charging was still on and the screen wouldn't turn on. I already tried to restart it using the power and -volume button, I even called tech support and all of their suggestions failed! I usually charge it overnight and it's fine in the morning. Please help me I just got it!

Where is your phone now? I think the red LED would have turned off. It should be an overcharge. I had a similar issue. Try connecting it to the charger (wired charger fast charger) now AFTER the LED turning off. Leave ot sometime and it should start charging back from 0% as usual.
