Why does my SG S4 Mini take so long to charge?

Charging Port issues

Hi All,

My GS 4 mini for the past two days has been having trouble charging.
The charging symbol appears BUT it takes forever to charge.. even getting up to 20% is a mission.

any ideas ?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried a different charging cable/wall charging plug?

Go to Settings>Battery while charging. Does it say "Charging (AC)" or "Charging (USB)"? If it says the latter, then your charging plug might be faulty. If it thinks it's charging from a computer USB port, the current it's drawing is likely about half what it normally would from a wall outlet.
