Why does my tablet only try to charge when I plug it in to a drone controller

Android Central Question

I have been flying a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone for a few months now. When I first started flying it, I was using a borrowed Samsung Galaxy Tab A. After a while I gave the tablet back, and continued flying with my iPhone 11R. I just got a brand new Galaxy Tab A of my own for no other purpose than to use with this drone. When I connect the tablet to the controller, all it wants to do is charge the tablet. Every couple seconds the screen dims and shows charge percentage. When I launch the DJI Go 4 app, it lets me "Enter Device", but won't connect to the aircraft.

Is there something wrong with my tablet? I never had a problem with the old one I was using at first, and I've never had a problem with my iPhone (except that the screen is too small!) Or is it just operator error??

Welcome to Android Central! As mustang7757 was suggesting, when you connect the tablet to the controller, swipe down the notification panel and tap the USB connection icon. Make sure it's not set to Charge Only.
