Why does my tablet only turn on when plugged in?

I have had this tablet for around 4 years now. But just the other week the tablet glass broke so then I went to get it repaired today and about 6 hours after the tablet screen kept on flickering then it turned on then turned back on after about 30 minutes the tablet turned off then wouldn't turn back on without being connected to the charger.

there is some issue with your table's battery. Try to change the charger if problem not solved then change the battery
