Why does my voicemail icon persist on my Notification Bar?

Voicemail Icon Persists in Notification Bar

I installed 5.1 without issues but I have noticed what appears to be a bug with voicemail. I had a voicemail left for me, listened to it, and deleted it yet the icon persistently shows up in the notification bar. I also have no voicemails in Google Voice. I can clear it in Settings>Apps but it reappears every time I start the phone. I have rebooted the phone, and cleared the cache partition to no effect. Anyone got a clue about this? Thanks in advance for the help.

Try leaving yourself another vm and see if listening to and deleting that clears it.
