Why does my Words w/Friends keep freezing up?

Words w/Friends keeps freezing up

I have a Samsung Note 3 and just over last few days, the game freezes up and I have to turn off, on until its message comes up: Do you want to report, wait or shut? Aggravating!

Have you already tried clearing cache for that app and then reboot the device?
