Why does my Xfinity wifi keep connecting to my phone?

This is the result of Xfinity... not Android or iOS devices. If you connect once to an Xfinitywifi hot spot, your device is automatically added to your Comcast Xfinity account. https://customer.xfinity.com/Secure/WiFiDevices to see your WiFi devices and remove them. Then it will nolonger auto connect. Cheers!

I am obviously having the exact same problem as everyone else, seeing as I am on this page. However, I do not even have an Xfinity account, nor have not had one at all since I've had my android. I have the galaxy S7 and want to throw my phone across the room every time I use it while not on my own wifi network. Just another reason I left Comcast, they try to gain market share by shoving themselves in your face then treat their customers like ****.

I've tried turning off notifications from the android system, doesn't work.
I've tried downloading one of those wifi apps, they won't let me forget xfinity.

Someone please find a real solution.

Same problem on Galaxy S7. It happened just minutes ago. I'm sitting on my searching in Google LOGGED IN toy AT&T UVerse internet when I get this d**n pop up. Happens while I'm driving through town and down the freeway.

I propose everyone that is fed up with should call Xfinity. Don't complain until you've chewed a good 30 minutes of some sales person's time getting prices and details for their Internet and WiFi services. Just before you seal the deal tell them never mind. Tell them why and tell you will not entertain subscribing to.their service due to this very annoying practice.

Only money talks to carriers. When they've lost valuable sales time, because they've wasted our time they will fix the nuisance.

edge 6, drag down from top gives you a quick bar with Bluetooth, mobile data, Wi-Fi etc. hold down Wi-Fi symbol, available networks pop up, hold down xfinity, choices pop up, one says auto connect, uncheck bubble or box
