Why does one specific person's Emails to me always show up blank?

On my EVO's stock Email app, which I have set up as my primary Hotmail account, I can make and receive Emails without a problem. However, when I receive Emails from one, specific friend of mine, his Emails, and only his Emails, show up blank. I can see the sender, the date/time, and that's it. When I open the Email, there's nothing there. I have to go to my Dolphin browser to access Hotmail via the web to read the Email.

I've reset the account and done all sorts of stuff with it, but that didn't help. I keep wondering if this is an AIM issue, because his Emails originate from his aim.com Email account. I don't know anyone else who has an aim.com Email account, so I can't test this. I'm guessing that's not the issue, though.

I'm baffled as to why he is the ONLY person whose Emails show up blank. Even any attachments he sends always show up as 0kb. The attachment icon is there, but there are no actual attachments, just as there is no body in his Emails.

It probably is his aim account (or rather the email program it uses). It probably isn't formatting the email properly to the standards that the stock email program expects. It probably looks OK when you look at it with other programs because those programs are more forgiving about flaws in emails that they receive.

You could ask him to try sending you emails in plain text - those tend to be easier for email programs to handle. Or ask him to switch to a different email provider.

I am seeing a similar problem. I have a couple of people who send email to my gmail account from their iphone or ipad. The email is blank on my Android phone, but it shows up fine if I check through email or on my computer through IMAP. It seems to be a display issue only on the Android.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I am having the same problem with my HTC EVO 4G through Sprint. Lately any time someone sends me an email from iphone/ipad it is blank, but I can read it on my computer fine.
