Why does SuperSU have no binary's installed and SuperSU cannot install it?

[AC Question]

SuperSU has no binary's installed and SuperSU cannot install it.

I'm trying to root my HTC One M8 but when i install SuperSU it says that I don't have any binary's installed and that if i just upgraded to Android 5.0.1 i need to manually re-root. I'm trying to find a solution to this or at least how can i re-root my phone.
